Wusthof I only give ths a 4 star, because I thought at that price it should come in a beautiful display case. The finest in profressional carving sets Matching up to the high standards that the Wusthof names has come to mean to all professional chefs. This carving set matches two of the finest pieces of art you will ever use. The knives is razor sharp and fork is both as good looking as it is practical. If you are looking for the finest there is, this is it. What a wonderful gift to the “Chef” in your life or to yourself. beware of the packaging I think it’s a little pricey for the way it’s packaged. I would of preferred them both to be in the same box. They come in 2 separate boxes. Click to Editorial Reviews

WSJ discovery Saw picture of this cutlery set from Amazon in WSJ and went to Amazon to order. Price was correct. Excellent instruments. Good value for money. Very pleased. Forgot how the nickname “grain eater” got stuck to my name but when I carved into my Heritage turkey, I realized great turkey eats grain also. Happy Holidays were had all round. Nice carving set for limited use I only use the carving set for Thanksgiving and big dinners. The knife is sharp, the fork is strong and the scissors are quite handy while trimming. The case is nice, if a bit large for the set. Click to Editorial Reviews

Wusthoff carving kvife set I purchased this for my sister for Christmas and she loves it. We have been purchasing one or two Wusthoff knives at a time for her. She loves to cook, and is a very good cook and swears by this brand. I got the knives in a very timely manner. Wusthof rules Excellent. There’s not a lot more to say. Great weight, extremely sharp, feels good in the hand, and easy to use. I’ve purchased 5 other Wusthof knives and they are all excellent. Before you buy them from Amazon (great prices) go to a store that sells them and handle them. The biggest issues will be your personal preferences on blade length and handle style. Warning…..these are very sharp. If you cut yourself you won’t feel it, there will just be blood on the cutting board. Just sayin… Quality product Great quality feel and very sharp. I have other Wusthof knives and they are all of excellent quality. Look, feel and function is very good. Click to Editorial Reviews

beautifully made This set is not only beautiful, but comes both well packaged and sharp. This is the second set I received from Amazon though. In the first set the point of the knife had been broke off and was not anywhere to be found. a work of art This is a beautiful set and makes a very fine gift. Shun/Kershaw is a well respected brand and the knife is very sharp and of fine quality. That said, you could likely find a set with similar cutting ability for less than half the price (but it would not be the work of art this set is; no points off the review because simple functionality is not what this set is about). Watch for it to go on sale. Amazing carving set… Had company coming over for Easter and needed a new carving set for the spiral cut ham…Had heard good things about Shun knives, but thought they were a little over priced-til I started carving with it! Amazingly sharp and gorgeous to look at right out of the box…easy to keep sharp with just a few strokes on the steel…A+! Clic...

Love this bull! Looks very much like Wall Street’s icon New York. Made of heavy metal. Nice detailed finition. Delivered intact – with all credentials (in Chinese). bronze black wall street bull turned out to be “Bull”. Wrong item was sent. Original item was a classy looking bronze black wall strew bull ox statue. What was sent was some cheap looking large bull that was not bronze. An Impuse Purchase But, it looks great! I’m a day trader and have the Bull on top of my computer. Excellent workmanship! Thanks! Click to Editorial Reviews

Wide blade not the best for slicing, box cheap for 4 piece set. I own this in it 4 piece set incarnation (which is the fork, knife, knife rest, and box) Calphalon Contemporary Cutlery 4-Piece Carving Set which appears to be out of stock, which is a good thing. The wood of the box is fine, but the liner is trashy plastic which will not let go of the knives, so do not wait for that version to come back in stock. As for this version, although the knife seemed sharp enough, it did not do a good job cutting through flank steak and pork roast. Once the knife had pierced the surface, it did well enough, but still was more work than expected. Several of my kitchen knives, both cheaper and more expensive (victorinox and shun) did a better job at carving than this carving dedicated knife. It may have to do with the rather wide angle of the knife compare to asian style blades and even some other german knives, as I feel this knife may be too strong for its own good. I replaced it… Wonderful Wed...

Great value! For the chef with a desire for a lighter knife Henckels makes a great knife and this set represents a great value. If you like a heavier knife, go with a Wustof. If you favor a lighter set, this is the one. Finally, I can carve a turkey I have read many instructions on carving a turkey and I could never achieve nice slices. Now I can. Turns out I knew what I was doing I just did not have the proper tools. This carving set, with it’s very sharp knife and strong fork, is wonderful. This set is a thing of beauty The carving knife is OK and works well for both poultry and beef/pork roasts. The real thing of beauty is the carving fork!!!! After using normal(??) carving forks with tines that are 3-4″ in length, the long tines on this fork is an absolute joy to work with. If you do not particularly care for the knife, buy the set for the fork, and relegate the knife to your junk drawer. I have never had a carving fork before like this, it is wonderful.
