TBCL Utility Knife 17 Centimeters

Image
took a chance on these knives I think $100 knives are hype so I took a chance on these more moderately priced knives and I believe it was worth it. They are the most expensive knives I have and now I have two of the utility knives (did give one away though), one of the boning knife, and one of the 15cm kitchen knife. You have to be careful with these knives because once they start cutting they will slide through, so you have to have good control and positioning or will cut yourself. The bad is that the one 17cm utility knife I’m using came with a not so perfect blade though it’s still very sharp. It has like three tiny knicks that are hard to see. The blades are thinner then normal blades but I was hoping the material be harder then this. Another problem is that even after washing/drying the utility knife after every use there is a tiny spot on the blade with a small discoloration in the metal. I wonder if it was used for something it shouldn’t have been used for or maybe the crafting...

Ergo Chef Pro-Series Utility Knife, 6-Inch

Image
FABULOUS KNIFE I came across this company by accident while shopping at costco, about five years ago. I met the owner, he was one of the salesman. I only tried the knife because of the fabulous return policies that costco is known for. With that said, I have become an avid ergo chef product lover. I couldn’t imagine using another knife ever. The quality of there pro-series collection exceeds the top name brands in the knife world. I have over 25 pieces from their collection. I have four of 6″ utility knife. Love love love them. Why do I own four? My family and friends love to help me cook, so when cutting and prepping before cooking, we are all reach out for the one utility knife. I had to buy more. My mother loves these knife’s as well. Had to get her a pro-series collection of her own. Great product, great company!!! Click to Editorial Reviews

Kyocera Revolution Series Utility Knife Peeler Set – 4.25 Inch

Image
What a knife! I found this knive to be the perfect size for slicing vegatables. Much better than steel. Easy to clean. Worth the price! Knife great, peeler not so good This knife is one of three Kyocera ceramic knives I purchased to make a set. They are three different sizes (this is the smallest.) They are all great. A word of caution: concentrate on what you are doing when using ceramic knives — they are very sharp. The peeler is not very good. I have a pair of Oxo peelers, which are a much better purchase. LamsonSharp 5-Inch Forged Utility Knife

Image
Top Quality & Made in the U.S.A. This is the fifth knife (2 were gifts) I’ve purchased from LamsonSharp and I continue to be impressed. I’ve been using this 5-inch Forged Utility Knife for a month now. It’s a very comfortable knife to use and I find it has become my “go to” knife for many cutting tasks in the kitchen. The blade has remained sharp with heavy use over the holidays. I’ve come to expect this performance from LamsonSharp. A few quick strokes on my honing steel about once a week to maintain the edge and I don’t anticipate I’ll need to sharpen the blade for many months. Click to Editorial Reviews

Arcos 2900 Range 10-Inch Butcher Knife, Red

Image
Large!!! We have a hog roast every year and this year I bought 4 knives for the guys that butcher the hog, these knives worked GREAT for carving the hog. The only thing that I had worries about were that when I ordered it I didn’t think 10 inches was that large but once you get a 10 inch butcher knife in your hand you realize that this knife is huge. It isn’t really anything practical for everyday kitchen tasks but I love having mine in the kitchen because when you need it: its the best tool for the job. The price for the quality and size is very acceptable. Overall, I would buy it again!!! Click to Editorial Reviews

Tamahagane San SN-1107H – 6 inch, 170mm Utility Knife

Excellent knife – so far I was looking for a knife that was smaller than a chef’s knife and larger than a paring knife. As an avid home cook, I use knives every day and am very particular about my kitchen equipment. I’ve had this blade for less than a week and I already love it. It’s well-balanced with a nice heft, comparable to a Shun, not as heavy as a Henckels. Craftsmanship is superb, handle is comfortable (I have big hands), blade seems strong with a medium amount of flex, not too stiff, not too flimsy. Like shoes or other personal items that one feels strongly about, I would usually suggest that people go to a store and handle them before they buy, but I took a chance on this one and am very satisfied. The downside: it is a little pricey. Click to Editorial Reviews

Wüsthof Classic Ikon Paring Knife – 4½” – Creme

Image
these knives are the best ever When I was a kid and trying to learn to cook my mother had only one knife for chopping, paring and slicing. It was the worst knife ever! It was so dull that cucumbers would sort of quish instead of cut, and she kept it until she died. My step-father did learn how to sharpen it better but it was still the worst. These Ikon knives are fabulous. I thought it would be fun to have the white ones and I really am glad I have gotten a whole set Click to Editorial Reviews

Classic Two-Piece Starter Set

Image
Super Super sharp knives. This was a gift for my mother and she absolutely loves these. Great quality, and a pretty decent deal. We did wind up buying a larger Wusthof Classic Santoku knife for her, as the bigger one here is not very big. Still, very usable. Grat Cutlery You can pay far less and you get what you pay for. Sharp, good weight and balance. The blade don’t wobble or bend, outstanding sharpness and a joy to work with in the kitchen. Highly recommend the Wusthof Classic Click to Editorial Reviews

WMF Spitzenklasse 5-1/2-Inch Utility Knife

Image
sharp and accuracy If you like cooking, you should buy this knife with doubt. It is very sharp and the handle is comfortable. You can cut meat or vegetable into any shape you want. Very useful nife. I have the same size knife from WMF Maister Klasse of which handle is chipping away. I happen to use the knife most of my chopping so I want to replace it with better handle. Since I have some other size Spitzenklasse knives so i know that there handle is better and sturdy as much as the blade. Click to Editorial Reviews

Wusthof Classic 5″ Serrated Utility Knife, Scalloped

Image
One of my favorite utility knives. Fully, deeply serrated. I have several Wusthof Classic utility knives in the 4.5" to 6" size. This is my favorite. I like the fully serrated style. The serrations are deep like on a bread knife. Years ago I had an Ecko "sandwich knife" like this, but lost it. This is the first good replacement I’ve found. Click to Editorial Reviews
