Nice knife, dulled a bit quickly. Very nice. Feels good in the hand and is well-balanced. If I had one complaint, it’d be that the blade dulled fairly quickly. Although, I use those nylon cutting boards not wood or the fancy slate-looking ones they have now, which I’m sure has an impact. Also, I only cut pork, chicken, or veggies with it, not Pineapple or anything really corrosive. Click to Editorial Reviews

Forschner Chef Knife with Straight Edge

There isn’t a better knife out there! I’ve been a chef for twenty five years and I’ve never used a better knife. I retired my last 12" Forschner after five years of continuous use at work and I’m thrilled with the new knife. Amazing quality and I’ve brought the old knife, which is now 11", home to use. The only time I use a different knife is when I need something heavy to break through a hard gourd and I don’t want to dull my Forschner, or I need to cut something very small, like a box of button mushrooms. I strongly recommend the Froschner Santouko for smaller jobs! Best knife ever. I have tried several knives but they got dull too quick, with this one I have used it for awhile and it seems to stay sharp forever. big boy restaurant owner great knife for the price , when the knife gets so dull it wou,nt keep an edeg I will buy 3 more, ps. if you dont know how to use a knife properly buy a smaller one, our be carefull!! Forschner / Victorinox Cimeter Knife, 14″ Black Fibrox Handle Model 41534

This knife is only for Pros, to large for the home Wow, this thing is huge. I used to cook in fine dinning and worked as a fish monger and butcher so I know knives well. This thing however is to big to approach much except the largest hunks of beef/pork. Better used to scare off robbers. I would like to sell mine. Great quality and feel. Great Quality I work in a seafood department of a grocery store and we use this knife to cut everything including whole halibut and salmon, right through the spine. We abuse this knife and yet it is easily sharpened and holds up great! Too big for typical household tasks, but for anybody cutting large fish/meat it will be great! Great knife Love the knife, but it does not say "Forschner" on it like the picture shows. When you buy a Forschner knife, you want it to say Forschner. Click to Editorial Reviews
