Nicely made

The craftmanship and quality of wood are good. The grooves are a little too deep to clean easily with a wipe, although running water over the board seems to work well. Perhaps a little wider board would be more useful. Overall, I am quite pleased with the cutting board.

Incredible Knife, Just Too Short for my Tomato I am a big fan of Global knives. They are wonderfully balanced, expertly sharp, and heaven to hold. This knife is no exception. Chop I’ve wanted a nice cleaver since I saw the Mortal Kombat character ‘Meat’ hacking away at his foes with a sweet pair of them, or was it the Swedish Chef recklessly flailing away in the kitchen on the Muppet Show in the mid 70′s? Great knives but beware… These knives are fantastic but beware of the company shipping them. The Knife Store is company that ships this particular item (for Amazon) right now and they no longer carry these knives. Instead, when you order the classic knives you get the identical ones with the stainless steel handles… If these are the first Shun knives you’re ordering… no biggie… but if you’re trying to complete a collection just be aware that they won’t contact you before shipping the wrong knives so you’ll have to deal with the return process if you want to fix it.
