Great knife!!

If you want SUPERIOR grip (by far the best grip designed) with a sharp full knife, this is the one to get. Affordable compared to its TWIN star cousin.

Outstanding knife

I purchased this roughly two months ago and it immediately became my primary knife in the kitchen. There are larger chef’s knives, which are certainly handy for some jobs, but the great thing about this 6″ beauty is that it remains light and easy to handle so that it is well suited for most everyday cutting tasks. The comfort of using the knife is aided by the fact that the handle is every bit as comfortable as Henckels claims. The knife is also extremely sharp and has worked like a dream on everything I’ve used it on. I’ve recently begun to slowly upgrade my knife collection and this one has been a great addition. It’s easy to handle, very effective, and it should last for many years. I’d certainly recommend it to others looking for an excellent all-purpose knife.

New Favorite Knife

I ordered this 6″ knife as an addition to my current set of Zwilling J.A. Kenckels Twin Five Star knives. It has already become my favorite knife in the block. Perfect size for almost any cutting I need to do. At $49, it was not cheap, but after some shopping and seeing them other places for $99, I got happy with the Amazon price very quickly.

Yes! This is a single stone (rather than a complicated series of stones) that gets the job done better than a much more costly electric sharpener. If you wish your knives were sharper, but don’t want to become a professional knife maintenance technician, it’s a nice choice. I like mine. Incredible Knife, Just Too Short for my Tomato I am a big fan of Global knives. They are wonderfully balanced, expertly sharp, and heaven to hold. This knife is no exception. I have quite a collection, myself. However, to call this knife a "Tomato Knife," at only 3inches long, is nuts in my book; that is, of course, unless you’re talking about cherry tomatoes! The knife does glide through the skin effortlessly, as another has said, and the meat of the tomato is certainly not a challenge for the knife, either. But it’s so short that the knife can get hung-up down in the tomato when you’re trying to cut through. I wondered about this, but I purchased it anyway.
